ReHiTechTex: Recycling of used firefighter uniforms. Introduction of layer-by-layer recycling of new uniforms and production of new products.

The project aims to create a new circular economy business model for high technological (high-tech) garments, specifically for firefighters’ suits: Re-hitechtex.

It comprises the setup of a recollection system of the used firefighters’ suits, the sorting, the mechanical debridement to convert the fabric into fiber, the development of a new yarn using these fibers and the introduction of this yarn in the manufacturing process of new firefighters’ garments, closing the circle.
