Lightweight, flame resistant, cut resistant — in recycled form. Manufactured in Barcelona · EN ISO 6942:2022 Code C4 tested
Hilaturas Arnau produces recycled para-aramid and meta-aramid technical textiles that deliver the core properties of virgin aramid fiber — flame resistance, cut resistance, high tensile strength, and lightweight construction — at a substantially reduced cost per kg. Ideal for R&D teams qualifying a cost-effective recycled aramid supply for established protective and industrial applications.
Recycled para-aramid
Para-aramid provides high tensile strength, cut resistance, and structural stability — the mechanical backbone of many FR protective blends.
LOI 29% — does not melt or drip under flame exposure.
High tensile strength and excellent cut resistance (EN ISO 13997).
Low specific gravity — lightweight construction.
Available as recycled yarn, nonwoven and woven fabric.
Primary applications: aerospace structural composites · military and police body armour · ballistic panels · industrial gloves and sleeves · firefighting suits · fiber optic cable strength members.
Recycled meta-aramid
Meta-aramid is an inherently flame retardant fiber that does not melt or drip under extreme heat — a critical property for electrical insulation and high-temperature industrial applications.
LOI 28–32% — inherent FR, not topically treated.
Good thermal dimensional stability.
Electrical insulation properties.
Comfortable for prolonged garment wear.
Primary applications: electrical motor and transformer insulation · automotive underhood thermal shields · high-temperature industrial gaskets · aerospace thermal and acoustic lining · domestic appliance insulation.
Aramid in performance blends
Both para-aramid and meta-aramid are key components in our custom fiber blends. Combined with recycled PBO or PBI, they provide the mechanical structure and comfort that pure PBO or PBI alone cannot offer — enabling tailored cost-performance solutions for any application.
